New Earth Recovery operates six recovery homes in Mount Vernon, WA. For those new in recovery, we offer a nine month program at Faith House (for women), and Cedar House & The Foundation (for men). For those with more recovery time, we offer longer-term residency at The Trust and Hilltop House (for men), and Willow House (for women).

Who We Serve

​

New Earth Recovery serves adults who seek a structured, faith-based recovery program for drug and alcohol addiction. We support medication assisted treatment and partner with many local agencies including Drug Court, Catholic Community Services, Sunrise and Compass Mental Health, Didgwalic Wellness Center, Skagit County Detox, and inpatient treatment facilities statewide.

Our Philosophy

​

We believe deep emotional healing is needed to live a life of recovery. While those new in recovery often want to jump back into "regular life," recovery doesn't last unless the original issues that caused addictive patterns are dealt with. Through our relapse prevention program (The Genesis Process), a new way of doing community, solid recovery principles, and prayer for emotional healing, our residents find peace from the long-held traumas and grief of the past, freeing them to take the next step toward a sustainable, fruitful life.

Living in Our Homes

​

Our committed staff, loving and safe environment, structured program, and emphasis on healing provide the kind of environment that fosters change. Graduates have been reunited with children, freed from court involvement, returned to school, found employment, completed the 12 steps, and mended relationships with family.

 

At our entry-level homes we encourage a nine month stay. The Trust, Hilltop House, and Willow House offer long-term community living to men and women in stable recovery.

The Genesis Process

​

At New Earth Recovery we offer The Genesis Process, a faith-based relapse prevention process for finding healing from the root wounds and traumas that contributed to addictive and destructive patterns. At the heart of Genesis is the question, "Why do I do the very thing I don't want to do?"​

​

Our residents say that they've never seen anything quite like Genesis--a group and individual journey that sheds light on our "stuck" patterns, helps us move toward our fears, connects us with God and others, and offers lasting change.

Therapeutic Gardening

​

The New Earth Recovery garden is a place of community, laughter, connection, and healing for our bodies, minds, and spirits. Residents participate in seasonal gardening activities depending on their phase and current hours of employment.
