New Earth Recovery operates three recovery homes in Mount Vernon, WA. For those new in recovery, we offer Faith House (for women) and The Trust (for men). For men with more recovery time, we offer a longer-term program at Cedar House.
We serve adults (without custody of children) who are seeking a structured, faith-based recovery program for drug and alcohol addiction. Residents pay program fees on a sliding scale, typically $150-450 per month.
We believe deep emotional healing is needed to live a life of recovery. While those new in recovery often want to jump back into "regular life," recovery doesn't last unless the original issues that caused addictive patterns are dealt with. Through the Genesis process, a new way of doing community, solid recovery principles, and inner healing prayer, our residents find peace from the long-held traumas and grief of the past, freeing them to take the next step toward a sustainable, fruitful life.
Our committed staff, loving and safe environment, structured program, and emphasis on healing provide the kind of environment that fosters change. Graduates have been reunited with children, freed from court involvement, returned to school, found employment, completed the 12 steps, and mended relationships with family. At Faith House and The Trust, we encourage a 9-12 month stay. Cedar House offers long-term community living to men in stable recovery.
New Earth Recovery serves adults (without custody of children) who seek a structured, faith-based recovery program for drug and alcohol addiction. We support medically assisted treatment., and partner with many local agencies including Phoenix Recovery, Drug Court, Sunrise and Compass Mental Health, Didgwalic Wellness Center, inpatient treatment facilities, and the Skagit County Crisis Center.
At New Earth Recovery, we offer The Genesis Process, a faith-based relapse prevention process for finding healing from the root wounds and traumas that have contributed to addictive and destructive patterns. At the heart of Genesis is the question, "Why do I do the very thing I don't want to do?"
Our residents say that they've never seen anything quite like Genesis--a group and individual journey that sheds light on our "stuck" patterns, helps us move toward our fears, connects us with God and others, and offers lasting change.
To partner with nature in a garden is a picture of how we are partners with a loving God in our growth. Cultivating food and flowers can be an act of cultivating beauty and hope, and the art of gardening has a lot to teach us about the art of living. The New Earth Recovery garden is a place of community, laughter, connection, and healing for our bodies, minds, and spirits. Residents participate in seasonal gardening activities depending on their phase and current hours of employment.
